Best game pick No. 2 - Parasheeps
Posted by: Misko, February 3 2012 - 0 comments

Parasheeps is BASE jumping game by Denis Kravchenko

How it all started? One sunny day you were sitting under the tree. Wild sheep appeared and wanted to fight with you for girl from closest village. Luckily, there was old wise sheep who suggested: "This will not be swords fight, this will be parachute championship! The best jumper will marry that girl." So you went to Rocking Cliff to challenge sheep.
So, it's basically story of Parasheeps. Nothing impressive, but still followed with excellent graphic design.
Each level has three rounds. First place gives you 4 points, second 2 points and third 1 point. You need to collect more points than other sheep to unlock next level.

Jump count goes like this - Ready - Steady (after 1 second) - GO (after random seconds). You need to press space or left mouse button as faster as you can. Your next job is to land safe. Try to open your parachute just before landing, again, with space or mouse.
Parasheeps also has achievement system built-in. Unlock earmuffs, glasses,  hats, gas mask and other useful equipment.

Best game pick No. 1 - MegaCity
Posted by: Misko, January 26 2012 - 0 comments

MegaCity is another great game by ColePowered, independent game developer.

Megacity is unique city building puzzle game. You have 7x6 fields city where you need to build homes, fire stations, municipals, libraries, water sources, malls, apartments, landfills, factories, prisons, etc. Each building is good or bad for normal citizens, so you don't want to have factory around houses but, having libraries around is good and gives you extra points. As you reach four points in each column, you gain one free column to build. This game is one of the best puzzle challenges. Think ahead in this 'easy to learn, but hard to master' game.

Unfortunately, full version of MegaCity is only available for iOS. On official website of MegaCity Android and Xbox version is also announced. Flash version can be played here.

Posted by: Misko, January 8 2012 - 0 comments

4Screens is new colorful retro multiplayer game (1-4 players local) by Jozogames.

This game requires skills and speed. You have 4 screens to watch. On the first one you play classic Breakout type of game with arrow keys. On the second screen you solve simple math task by pressing number keys (0-9). On third screen your job is to stay on moving platforms as long as you can (use space to jump). Finally, on 4th screen you need to avoid moving walls (use WASD keys).

In the middle of the game screen you have time ticking. Each time you make a mistake, you loose 5 seconds. When you reach 0, you can submit your best time achieved.
